Steps to start a Web Development Company
1. Establish your Business Structure
2. Obtain a DBA or Fictitious Business Name
3. Obtain a Business License
4. Establish your business bank
5. Seller’s Permit from the State of California Board of Equalization
If you are planning on selling a product such as software/media/cd-dvds/(practically anything you see at Fry’s Electronics or Best Buy), you will need to obtain a seller’s permit as you are now selling a taxable
6. Obtain an EIN or Employer Identification Number from EDD
Do you plan on having employees? You will need to obtain an EIN (Employer Identification Number from EDD). You will also need to be sure to pay employee taxes and all the other fun stuff of having an employee. ( I will be adding more about this in the future)
